Job Details

• Position: CDL A Truck Driver – Family Dollar Dedicated

• Location: Must live within commuting distance of Marianna, FL (32448)

• Account: Family Dollar

• Freight Type: Dry van, 100% touch freight

• Unloading: Live unload, box by box with rollers at Family Dollar (occasional Dollar Tree)

• Miles per Week: Average 1,600

• Loads per Week: 3

• Stops per Day: 1–6

• Delivery Area: FL, GA, AL, MS, and LA

• Schedule: Early AM deliveries, with nights, weekends, and holidays required

• Home Time: Weekly, with a 34-hour reset (not home daily or every weekend)

• Orientation & Training:

  • Bring 2 weeks' worth of supplies to orientation

  • Ride-along training with a current FD driver ($150/day)

  • Must provide secure parking for truck and trailer during home time

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,400 (based on 1,600 miles & 3 loads)

• Experience-Based Mileage Pay:

  • 0 months: $0.46/mile

  • 12 months: $0.47/mile

  • 24 months: $0.48/mile

  • 60 months: $0.51/mile

  • 72 months: $0.52/mile

  • 84 months: $0.53/mile

  • 96 months: $0.54/mile

  • 108 months: $0.55/mile

  • 120 months: $0.56/mile

• Unload Pay: $230 per load (full trailer unload)

• Backhaul Pay: $50 per load

Key Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with minimum 3 months experience

• Must not have worked on this account within the last 6 months if leaving Werner or Schneider without another carrier in between

• Secure parking required for tractor and trailer during home time (must be personal property or a gated lot with two forms of security such as guard or cameras)

• Ability to perform physically demanding unloads in all weather conditions

• Must be flexible for weekends, nights, and holidays

• Strong customer service skills and patience
