Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Facilities Technician C (Electrician) whowill work under limited supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions. Run conduit and lay out electrical wiring circuits and calculates wire size and requirements for loads, for MDP's and motors loads etc. Must be able to troubleshoot motor controls and electrical circuits and make necessary repairs. Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities and production equipment, as well as perform general maintenance and other duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Electrical/HVAC and machinery upkeep/ repair.
  • \n
  • Install new equipment.
  • \n
  • Conduct preventative maintenance.
  • \n
  • Support maintenance mechanics, simple projects, spot painting, and/or light construction.
  • \n
  • Perform boiler maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment.
  • \n
  • General shop upkeep, cleaning, and/or organizing.
  • \n

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant electrician experience or 2 years post- Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related electrician experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Journeyman electrician license preferred.
  • \n
  • Working knowledge and understanding of industrial equipment and installation.
  • \n
  • Valid state issued Driver's License.
  • \n
  • Previous qualification with respirator and breathing devices.
  • \n
  • Previous work with fire/rescue teams.
  • \n
