Phlebotomist - Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser Permanente hospital in Harbor City is looking for a full-time phlebotomist to join their team! CA Phlebotomy license is required. This is an

opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain extensive experience!

• CA Phlebotomy License
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Must be flexible to work any day of the week between 4am-10:30pm
• Outpatient and inpatient experience required.

Job Description

The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood in a fast paced environment, tagging each sample and then working closely with the lab to make sure that the proper samples are delivered for each patient. The successful candidate will also deliver excellent patient service, answer patient questions, act as a resource for patient information and strengthen the relationship between the patient and our entire medical facility.

• Preparing patients before drawing blood
• Explaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process
• Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas
• Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubes
• Verifying patient information and labeling blood samples properly
• Accurately updating patient information in the organization database
• Helping nervous or frightened patients remain calm during blood draws
• Working with supervising physicians and following their directions at all times
• Receives specimens for other cases when delivered to the Laboratory
• Other duties as assigned

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Harbor City,CA.
