Clean Harbors in Weymouth, MA is on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Lead Diesel Mechanic to become a vital part of our safety-conscious team! In this role, you’ll oversee the daily operations of our shop, ensuring that our fleet is in top shape and compliant with DOT regulations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all safe work practices and policies.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and necessary repairs, including offsite service calls.
• Complete daily checklists to ensure proper operation of all units.
• Communicate any issues with units immediately upon discovery.
• Maintain accurate records for tracking PM schedules.
• Conduct safety checks and annual vehicle inspections in compliance with laws.
• Ensure equipment is parked according to facility permits and DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Understand and uphold Clean Compliance Standards.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• 5-7 years of diesel engine experience.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Proficiency in all aspects of diesel mechanics, including electrical, computer systems, ECMs, fuel, air systems, ABS, hydraulic systems, and engines.
• Expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty equipment such as forklifts, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
• Ability to pass background, drug, and physical tests upon hire.
