Position: Marketing Assistant

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Works Closely With: Sales and Marketing

Schedule: Part Time between the hours of 8 and 5 Monday Friday (20 hrs Flexible Schedule)

Work Location: In-person, San Luis Obispo, CA (Not a remote position)

Position Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support Poly Performance. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a creative mindset, and a passion for the off-road industry. This role involves asset creation, social media assistance, and general marketing support.

Responsibilities

• Capture, edit, and produce video content for marketing, social media, and promotions.
• Develop digital assets, including graphics, short-form videos, and marketing materials.
• Shoot and format product photos for website, social media, and marketing use.
• Organize and maintain a structured library of digital content for easy access and use.
• Assist in planning, executing, and analyzing promotional strategies.
• Help manage the day-to-day presence across the brands social media platforms.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure marketing content aligns with company goals.
• Travel to off-road events to represent the brand (occasional weekends required).

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Off-road or automotive enthusiasts strongly preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in marketing, social media management, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge and use of current social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Familiarity with traditional and digital marketing tools.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Solid computer skills, including MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) or similar tools.
• Willingness to occasionally work outside normal business hours for events or special projects.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to occasionally lift and move boxes or marketing/event materials weighing up to 2530 lbs (e.g., product samples, trade show displays, or camera equipment).
• Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods when attending off-road events or working on-site photo/video shoots.
