Job Description

Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in cloud infrastructure and observability solutions, is seeking a Observability Engineer to join their team. As a Observability Engineer, you will be part of the Cloud Observability team supporting modernization and standardization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Observability Engineer

Location: Denver, Colorado

Pay Range: Mid-Level 4-8 years of experience $65+ an hour
Senior Level 8+ years of experience $70+ an hour

What's the Job?

  • Partner with engineering teams to implement standardized observability patterns aligned to the company's framework
  • Advise and assist teams in adopting OpenTelemetry-based instrumentation for metrics, logs, and traces
  • Design and maintain application integrations in observability systems such as Prometheus, VictoriaLogs, Jaeger, and Grafana
  • Contribute to framework development by creating and improving dashboard templates, libraries, and documentation
  • Educate and enable engineers through workshops, pairing sessions, and reference implementations

What's Needed?

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of experience with software development, proficient in multiple programming languages
  • 3-4 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure development/deployment, especially with Kubernetes and cloud platforms
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and tracing systems
