Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A counselor is needed to support K-12 students in a school setting in Fort Pierce, FL. This contract position focuses on providing guidance, emotional support, and academic counseling to help students succeed both personally and academically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, social, and emotional challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop and implement student support plans.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Facilitate workshops and programs on topics such as bullying prevention, career exploration, and mental health awareness.
• Maintain confidential student records and comply with ethical and legal guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification or licensure as a school counselor.
• Experience working with K-12 students in a school environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to address diverse student needs and collaborate with school staff.
• Knowledge of counseling techniques, educational systems, and adolescent development.

Location:

• Fort Pierce, Florida Schools serving grades K through 12.
