Wharton Supply of Virginia is currently looking for:

Equipment Service Department, Repair, Parts and Sales Associate

We are looking for someone who has a passion for construction equipment repairs & sales and wants to join the Wharton

This role entails aiding customers with all facets of their construction equipment, repairing and parts acquisition.

Ordering the correct parts for repairs, as well as the sale of individual components/parts.

You will meticulously oversee the inventory of all stock parts, incoming, and outgoing, with exceptional attention to

detail. Collaborate with the service techs to fulfill their parts requests.

You will be responsible for performing your duties in a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible manner.

Primary duties and responsibilities

• Diagnose and provide estimates for repairs.

• Assist customers in ordering parts.

• Maintain accurate inventory of stock parts, and special order parts.

• Work with the service techs to order parts for repair needs.

• Maintain and create relationships with existing and new manufacturers, local vendors.

• Create a customer-friendly environment.

• Manage inventory obsolescence and oversee the parts and repairs sales process from start to finish.

• Complete special order part requests for customers following Wharton’s policies and procedures.

• Communicate with customers regarding parts and repairs status and always maintain professional interactions.

Minimum requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree is a plus.

• Manufacturer's certifications and experience with computerized parts systems are a plus.

• Experience in construction equipment parts and equipment sales.

• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures relevant to the industry.

• Bilingual, English and Spanish a plus.

• US work authorization (required)

• Knowledge of construction equipment parts and inventory management systems.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient interdepartmental communication between parts, service techs, logistics, inside, and outside sales.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

• Research equipment parts books to become familiar with industry-specific parts.

• Read PDFs and drawings to ID requested parts required per machine.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Parts Sales and service

• Construction equipment and small tools parts and repairs experience.

• Ability to read and decipher diagrams, blue prints and schematics.

• Ability to function and perform within deadlines.

• Familiarity with OSHA and general shop/equipment/vehicle safety guidelines.

• Ability to physically move items from 30 to 100 lbs.

• Experience operating material handling and/or construction equipment
