Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly effective candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative technology to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world.

This individual will lead the manufacturing operations and quality operations working with our preferred suppliers for high speed cables and connectors. Successful candidates will bring strong knowledge of interconnect supply chains, interconnect manufacturing operations, quality assurance operations, and provide oversight of outsourced manufacturing teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Audit and ensure quality manufacturing operations at interconnect Suppliers and their down stream supply chain

  • Identify key technology manufacturing trends in the interconnect industry and drive supplier operations to ensure they meet the strategic initiatives in those products.

  • Develop key performance metrics and manufacturing output metrics with the supplier to ensure high volume output meets quality criteria

  • Responsible to provide weekly team updates, deliver executive level updates on a monthly basis, and will be responsible for vendor escalations in order to resolve any issues related to his/her category

  • Present to senior leadership via written narratives

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

    • Experience working with suppliers
    • Experience working with factories
    • Experience with Quality Systems

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
