About the role We are looking for a system validation engineer with a background in autonomy, autonomous driving and/or ADAS. This engineer will work on performance evaluation of autonomy at the system and module level. This engineer will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of this project towards measuring autonomy features and autonomous driving. At Applied Intuition, you will: Identify, develop, measure and report on the critical metrics that measure performance and enable evaluation of the autonomy stack and autonomy modules. Dive deep into the autonomy modules to generate data driven insights to support autonomy development. Work closely with the autonomy software team for realization and utilization of these metrics and to drive improvements. Contribute efforts to ensure comprehensive metrics identification and measurement including key performance indicators and safety performance indicators across the autonomy system and modules supporting the safety case. Work closely with other system validation engineers to identify, implement and measure metrics that capture performance and enable evaluation of autonomy at the system and feature level for L4 trucking. Lead implementation, realization and reporting of identified metrics including frameworks, pipelines and dashboards. Support autonomy system validation engineers to build comprehensive test plans and specifications across testing modalities including simulation and real world testing. Work closely with systems engineering teams to ensure measurement and reporting across the ODD. Develop and implement strategies for analyzing real world data to measure performance and identify challenging and relevant events. Support generation of the safety case and release recommendation reports. We're looking for someone who has: 5+ years of experience in ADAS or Autonomous driving. MS/BS degree in Robotics, Aerospace, Computer Science, or equivalent required. Experience with ADAS, autonomous systems and robotics. Knowledge of existing standards and regulations relevant in the automotive industry, esp. ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL4600. Knowledge of architectural design of ADAS/AV systems. Experience with scripting and simulation tools. Mastery of strong collaboration with other teams, customers, and companies to ensure high quality deliverables. Nice to have: Prior work in either autonomous vehicles or ADAS or aerospace. Project management and leadership experience in the AV industry. Experience in the AV and robotics field. Fluency in C++ and/or Python. #J-18808-Ljbffr Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim
