Job Description
Adecco is partnering with a local reputable car dealership to find a detail-oriented and motivated Title and Registration Clerk for a 13-week contract role in Spring Valley, NY, with potential for extension. This role primarily involves managing vehicle title and registration paperwork, ensuring accurate and timely processing of DMV documents, coordinating lien releases, and supporting overall administrative functions within the dealership’s accounting department. Location: Spring Valley, NY (on-site)
Pay Rate: $24 - $28 / hr. based on experience
Schedule: Standard M-F day schedule – must be available 1 Saturday per month

Position Type: 13-week assignment with potential for extension
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and process paperwork for titling new, used, and wholesale vehicle transactions
Ensure timely completion and submission of all DMV tax, title, and registration documents
Verify the accuracy of titles, lien information, taxes, and other paperwork before forwarding to accounting
Communicate with banks and lienholders to obtain necessary lien releases and resolve any issues
Apply for duplicate titles and manage related documentation as needed
Issue stock numbers and stock-in used vehicles upon purchase
Prepare and maintain detailed trade-in vehicle records and folders
Monitor and follow up on vehicle payoffs to expedite title returns and lien releases
Stay informed on current DMV regulations, policies, and compliance requirements
Provide additional administrative support to the dealership’s accounting and sales teams as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years’ billing or accounting experience within a car dealership setting
Positive attitude with a high-energy personality
Superior customer service, organizational, and follow-up skills
Computer literacy with strong attention to detail
Experience with ADP Dealer Services (preferred)
Experience using CVR DMV Software (preferred)
Conducts business ethically and professionally
Notary experience (preferred but not required)
Must possess a valid NY Driver’s License
