Are you a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you have a knack for logistics and a passion for efficiency? Then you might be the ideal candidate for our Shipping & Receiving Associate role. As a critical part of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring that our products reach their destinations on time and in perfect condition. Responsibilities:
As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, your main duties will include:
1. Coordinating and overseeing all shipping and receiving activities, including picking, packing, and loading/unloading shipments.
2. Ensuring accuracy in all inventory transactions and maintaining up-to-date records.
3. Inspecting inbound and outbound shipments to verify quantity and quality, and reporting any discrepancies or damages.
4. Coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and customers to resolve any shipping or receiving issues.
5. Complying with all safety and regulatory guidelines related to shipping and receiving operations.
6. Operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
7. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our shipping and receiving processes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Shipping & Receiving Associate role, you should have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in using shipping software and other related computer applications.
3. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
4. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
5. A solid understanding of shipping and receiving procedures and regulations.
6. Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with team members, suppliers, carriers, and customers.
8. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or a related field will be a plus.
